I've just installed Mailout 5.x-1.0-rc1 and mimemail v1.24. Everything seems to work except:

1. Mail 'appears' to be sent as reflected in the stats, but in actuality the emails never arrives. I've tried both html and text messages
2. Preview- clicking the preview tab in templates results in 'Page not found'

I have exactly the same issue. Could it be an SMTP or what?

Sorry for this stupid question, but, may be .....
The mails are not in the spam folder ?

I've sent a rather sizeable amount of test runs now and I can say for sure there is no mail being caught in Spam Filters. Not sure what's causing this.

For Instance - I can send to my gmail account using the "test" function, but when I do a mailout send, it never gets there - and it's not in the spam folder. Sending to my account on the same server but a different domain works fine.

I finally received a reply today. My outgoing server was blocking (Mailbox-Cop) the mails. AAGH! Apparently I'm only allowed to send plain text. How stinky is that!

I'm also assuming mailout uses mail()function and not an SMTP to send? This might solve my problem.

**Update. Using Gmail SMTP with SSL solved my problem. Boohahaha! (Is this legal?)
**Update. Again. More Boo less haha. This only worked for a couple of hours, then NOTHING.

:) I've signed up with AuthSMTP and it's working great. I'm considering moving my hosting though. :O

argh, sounds like you have had some frustrating issues with hosting.

It does raise an interesting question about using another smtp server. Moving to D6 as a feature request.
