Deleting content by type and schedule

Can you please add a way to make mass delete work for me? I need a way to automatically delete entries based on a schedule. For instance I want all blog entries more than a week, a month or maybe even three months old deleted automatically. Maybe something which checks their publish date on every cron job and deletes them accordingly.
