hi,
is there a module or snipplet that lets users unpublish (their own created) nodes, without having the right to delet the node completely?
thanks

Private_nodes module gives
Private_nodes module gives users the option to set privacy so that the node is readable by only her/him. This is almost equivalent to an unpublished state for the rest of the readers.
I dont get it work. Private
I dont get it work. Private marked nodes are still accessible by all users.
I have also installed content_access, maybe there is a conflict?
any ideas?
I have used
I have used http://drupal.org/project/private (not http://drupal.org/project/private_nodes) and it seemed to work fine.
A conflict with content_access is possible. Generally when a node access module allows and another one denies, the allowing one wins.
The content_access module alone can do something similar for private nodes, but not exactly the same. You can set up a content type with "view: author" permission and no other "view" permission. Then the users can use that node type for private notes.
I do not have
I do not have content_access. Private_nodes works well for me.
Apart from nodes, it also lets the profile page be put up as private if users want so.
