this seems like quite a powerful module - is support still strong? looks like there was an early january release and some work since then on dev releases through early summer and then not much since then and several folks are unable to use this on d6.4...
any update would be great. thanks.

I would also like to know what the status is on this. The RC version gives me Access Denied pages and I am unsure about if the DEV version is usable for production sites.
Any info would be helpful

The 6.x-2.x-dev version is declared unstable from the author (plus, see #293144: hook_menu() is missing), the 6.x-1.x-dev version has a critical issue (see #320219: Flexifilters example get strange names and description on list), and the 6.x-1.1-rc1 version has the problem you described.
Follow #313337: Access denied for UID 1, or #247416: Create a 6.x-1.1 release to know a way to resolve the issue in the 6.x-1.1-rc1 release (which has not been fixed until now, even if the issue can be shown as fixed).

The maintainer promised to make a 6.x-1.1 version this weekend, which should resolve the access denied issue.

I didn't notice any updated releases on the main page. Was there an update released? Is there a (semi) stable version?
