I am thinking of a module development. Many user want to have a notification over changes in a view by email. (See http://drupal.org/node/125000)

this thread is to discuss ideas and features.
What features do you need?
which drupal version should be developed (5/6)?
Integration in other modules like subscriptions or notifications?

I am not sure if this does a similar thing, but it is only released for D5 (no use for me).
