After upgrading to D6.5, I checked for available module upgrades and attempted to install several, but after listing the available updates, update.php stalls at the "Run updates" menu item with the center column simply saying updating. It never proceeds to the log review screen.

Re-running update.php shows the same updates available, however the status report does not.

Perhaps way too late to get the original poster but....

Were these contrib or core modules that you were trying to upgrade?

Do you know which module it failed on?
