I discovered that if I include an apartment number on my address, I won't receive the geolocation information from Google. I am concerned that the casual users/editors on my site will enter their apartment number in the Street field as I did since it isn't a strict convention to enter apartment/suite/floor/etc information in an "Additional" field - in fact it's the first time I've seen such a reference - it's usually "Address 2" or a field for Apt/Suite/Floor, etc.
I suggest that there be some more helper text associated with the Street and Additional fields to warn people to ONLY enter street information in the Street field and any apartment/suite/floor info in the Additional field.
And/or, if a lat/long comes back from GMAP as 0.0000... then strip off anything after a comma and try again?
THANKS FOR THIS MODULE ---- IT'S GREAT!

briskday commentedI'm trying to use 6.x-3.0-rc2
enabled for users
I enter info for street, city, state, postal code and country, but the lat/long values remain blank, how do you get the auto generate to work?

yesct commentedbriskday, sorry you have waited so long for this response, and how unhelpful it will be. But, your issue is different than the original poster's issue, so it should be it's own issue. Sorry!
capellic, can you or someone confirm this apt # is still a problem in the most recent dev versions?
I wonder if improving the location module for theming changes would allow people to rename "additional" to something as you suggest?

I'm tagging this too.

yesct commentedmight be slightly related to #332004: confused about input of location - fields offered to user and 'using gmap instead' option...
