i want to display my posts by according to date and ALSO to separate posts according to its categories in my right side bar .is there ANY MODULE AVAILABLE FOR IT?

Yes, the views module (http://drupal.org/project/views) can display lists or tables of posts, either in the content area or in sidebar blocks, containing anything you want and sorted in any way you want.

i find quite hard to set up panels views and taxonomy modules to follow the tutorials given here.

is there any other way for it??

you can use views for this ... its best otherwise you can create menus for this it can solve your problem
