With Drupal 7.x (as well as other popular scripts) moving forward and the decision to require PHP 5.2 and MySQL 5 let's start a list of hosts who've been proactive and have already moved away from software that is set for retirement.

So, which hosts are already @ PHP 5.2+ and MySQL 5?

new clients have already PHP 5.2+ and MySQL 5, old clients have to ask for an imigration (they are using an older server)..imigration = 7 euro.. (but if you like to do it by yourself ; its free:)

To be honest, most of the popular web hosting provide PHP 5.2 and MySQL 5, some examples like: anhosting, hostmonster, bluehost, midphase, etc.

In that case maybe it would be easier to single out those that don't. As I'm on one right now who hasn't already offered and has no public roadmap to when they will offer MySQL 5. : )

Thanks

I just go through all the host companies listed in http://www.webhostingclue.com/web-hosting-review, and almost all the companies there provide with php5.2+mysql5.0.

The reason to say it's common is most of the web hosting companies doesn't want to maintain 2 or more php versions in their hosting environment, they tend to use the latest one. Even they still provide you will a previous version, they will encourage you to use the latest version, and tell you when they plan to retire the old one.

So, I believe we have no need to too concersn about the hosting issue of Drupal 7.0
