I'm interested in using this module along with a versioning system to track changes in the DB. By outputting the db as one file per table, it means changes and modifications can be better tracked.

I'm looking at whats going to be needed to do this, editing _backup_migrate_dump_tables and then the compression functions are probably places to start. Its going to add complications down the line as well (e.g. how to download lots of files instead of just 1). But I'm committed to making this work (or creating a simple one hit script to do the same thing).

Be interested to talk to anyone else who might have some time / expertise to put into this effort. I'm in #drupal

admitting defeat.

I've spend some time on this and dont think i'm going to be able to get it done in time as its a very far reaching mod. I'm going to do it with a dumb script instead. I would hover love to see the feature implemented.
