Example: http://www.mitraz.com/sitemap.xml vs. http://mitraz.com/sitemap.xml. If you follow the second it gives me 'access denied error' but works fine with http:/www.mitraz.com/sitemap.xml.

daytripscanada commentedI have this same issue. My web site is set to be http://www.day-trips.ca/ but my XML sitemap has the www removed causing every google hit to come in as a redirect.

darren ohGenerating the site map is resource-intensive, so it is cached. Whether it contains the www depends on whether you included it in the URL when you first viewed the site map. You can force the site map to be regenerated by going to the settings page and saving the settings, then viewing the site map from the URL you want to use.

open-keywords commented@mitraz, @anotheraviator :
I would suggest that you enforce any access to your site to be consistent (always with or without 'www')
You could check this discussion http://drupal.org/node/93603#comment-1023493 to implement it.

j0e commentedi fixed this by going to advanced settings at http://www.mysite.com/admin/settings/xmlsitemap/settings and specifying the base url as www
