I installed the module (Drupal 5) and installed TinyMCE 3. Looks like the module recognizes it, but no matter what I try, the RTE does not show up on any of my fields. Am I missing something?

Did you enable the Teaser break plugin? If you did, please try whether the editor appears after you disabled it.

Committed a fix for this, which disables the Teaser break plugin for TinyMCE 3. This plugin (among others) will be available again after #319363: Rewrite editor plugin API has been finished.
