Is it possible to pull data directly into a node

Sorry for the confusing title, just could't find a better description.
I'm using CCK Taxonomy Fields to let users select a (taxonomy based) image gallery and add it to their nodes upon creation/editing. So far I managed to let CCK Tax. Fields to output a link to my taxonomy based gallery. Now I would like to go one step further and have the referenced taxonomy gallery displayed directly on the node page.
I'm willing to modificate the module as far as it needs to be done, but first I'd like to know, if it's possible at all and secondly I'd be happy if someone more experienced could point me in the right direction where to start.
