For advertising to television markets, selecting by DMA code is the standard. The maxmind city databases returns the three digit DMA code. Would it be possible to add a field of comma separated DMA's for filtering the display of ads? Would you consider a patch?

Patches are always considered. If it's implemented cleanly, and doesn't cause extra overhead when not used, it'd be most likely to be accepted.
