Embedding vimeo videos

Hi,
I'm trying to embed either Youtube or Vimeo videos but they never show up. I open the HTML box and paste in the embed code with Full HTML chosen from Input but it still doesn't work. I'm using the Beginning Theme. Any ideas why this is?

How are you posting them?
How are you posting them? Blog post? Page?
Why not use the CCK video module so it can embed them for you?

I use Garland and Foundation
which ever theme shouldn't matter because they don't mess with you content. I don't have to enable anything, just paste the embed code into the content.

why are you installing module? You don't need any module to embed vimeo video. Have you view page source and see if the <object> tag is there or not? You should do this first, make sure the tag is there, then go from there.
Thanks for persisting with
