Organizations interested in advertising in this forum should read the Drupal.org advertising policy. The Drupal association offers advertisements via Google Adsense, with a dedicated placement channel. The Drupal association has also worked out a deal with DoItWithDrupal in exchange for advertising the seminar. The ads are served using Google Ad manager under the control of the Drupal association.

We are also running ads with one Drupal consulting company to attempt to see if it possible to develop an affiliate type advertising deal for consulting services. We believe this offers a high potential return. We first tried this with one company in December for three weeks. We then tried it with another company for five weeks. We are trying again with the second company starting October 9th, 2008. The advertising of consulting services with banner ads has not been successful for the association or the consulting companies doing the advertising to date. The Drupal association has been soliciting feedback on ads and adapting to that feedback for over one year now. We would like to continue to see if consulting services banner ads can be viable via a continued trial.
