+1 for a D6 version. This module is particularly useful to the Ubercart community as a means to quickly update product prices, etc. If you need some support that might be a good place to look. In my opinion, it should be part of the Ubercart core.
Thanks for the D5 version, it's going to be a big help in one of my sites!
I would like to re-do this module, and use it on D6 myself - problem is time and money - if anybody has a source of either, then let me know and maybe we can work something out :-)
I'd consider putting up $100 for the first person to produce a good D6 version in the next couple of weeks. I've got a friend who fancies having a go but won't be able to get stuck in until the new year, so something sooner than that would be good if possible
I've checked some early workings into the CVS....
I'd appreciate some testing help :-)
Let me know if anybody can test the files direct from CVS before I make a release.
You absolutely need both editablefields and ajaxeditable.
I've abandoned the 'form within a form' idea of having a form at the bottom of the 'view table' I'm ignoring views altogether - you simply mark your field as editable in the view (as a display type) and - it should work.... should....
If you want an embedded form - thats a different thing, and I think handled by other things now...
I installed the CVS version of these modules but do not see where to make the field editable in the views2 interface. If you can point me in the right direction I will help test and report bugs.
The nice thing about views is I no longer have to worry :-)
If you select one of the fields in your view, you can set the display type to 'editable' :-)
bug's I've found so far:
A normal text input box, when you hit return attempts a submit, which isn't what we want - I should try and catch that and just do the up-date...
date pickers dont get their popup.... (and dont seem to work either, even if you do them by hand)....
A new release of this module is now available.
It's SOO much cleaner and leaner that the D5 version - there's good hope that it might actually work!
One feature I've decided to drop is the 'form at the end of a view' - if you like that, and need one, maybe there might be another module that can help there, but I dont think this is the right one.
I've put some use instructions on the hope page for the module.
I'm going to close this item, please raise bugs against the 6.x version as appropriate.

markfoodyburton commentedYeah, it seems like a 'needed' feature - the D^ world is fairly different though, and I'm not sure this would be so much a port as a re-write....
Right now, I'm short of time.... but.... I'll TRY to get to it - just dont hold your breath...
Bottom line - if you have time yourself - go to it :-)

infinito commenteda guide to how to activate the cvs version with d6 and views 2?
markfoodyburton commentedenable it, then check out the display options for cck fields (in normal cck types, and in views)
you should now see an 'editable' option.
Nice.
