Hi,

According to the documentation, this CCK field should hide email address, using spamspan.
But it does not work, the email appears in the source.

So is it a bug? Or did I do something wrong?

go to the 'Display Fields' tab in your content type settings, there you can select spamspan as display type for your email fields (spamspan module needs to be installed)
I hope this information helps you. If your problem still exists, reopen this issue.
