I can't help but notice the last update of this module, 2008-May-03. Node import is a great module and has been extremely helpful, but my core module files are getting more and more chopped. People's needs are gaining in complexity. More and more needs are only being met only by patches, and I am having to patch my patches by hand. For instance I am combining support for the following:

• imagefield (http://drupal.org/node/143471)
• date2 (http://drupal.org/node/227681)
• update nodes with unique nids (http://drupal.org/node/150397)

Is there any reason not to knock people's needs of the list one minor release at a time? I hate to sound like a beggar or complainer, but I and others have done everything we can on our end by submitting patches. And it seems that every issue, feature/support request is marked as active. What is the status of this module and where is it headed?

I must agree. I'm sorry, but I have less time now. However, I promise to spend one morning (probably sunday morning because then I mostly have time to make time) to spend on the issue queue IF they have a patch AND the patch has been tested.

I'll start this weekend with the three issues you have pointed out.
