Nobody is doing anything with this for some time.
This is an excellent module and I amcurrently working on finalising the V5 Port and Starting the V6.
Requesting that my account (whispero) be changed to the maintainer of this project. Cross-posted in the other relevant areas.

fax8 commentedHi, my name is Fabio Varesano, creator and original maintainer of this module.
As I'm unable to maintain this module anymore I don't have problems in giving it to you.
Anyway looks to me that you are pretty a new drupal user.
It doesn't look that you have previous experience with Drupal developmen.
I'm not sure if I can trust you as new maintainer.
Please.. open up a cvs account. Then I will provide you CVS access to this module code.. so you will be able to commit code and patches.
I will review your works and make you a maintainer if everything it's ok.
Hope you understand.
Fabio Varesano

Crell commentedI actually have a D5 port I've been using on a site for most of the year; I've just never quite gotten around to taking over the project either. :-( I'd be happy to contribute it, whoever the maintainer is. I am going to need a D6 version of it as well sooner or later for the same site. Again, I don't really care who maintains it or who does the D6 port.

whispero commentedHi,
Fabio I understand your concerns and respect them.. Its true that I have only recently opened an account. I joined when I began work on my D5 Port for this module as my site had great need for it.
I am more than happy to take it over and understand that you will be wanting to see some work completed first. Crell, If you contribute yours to Fax8, I'm sure he or I can check it over.
If it works, then I won't be required to continue on the V5 Port and I can carry beginning the V6 Port.

whispero commentedOh,
Forgot to add that I've requested a CVS Account. I needed it anyway for the other modules that I developed on a site of my own that I intend to release here over the next few months.

Whispero

whispero commentedHi,
The initial CVS Account was declined due to standard procedures, enclosing this post as confirmation that I require a CVS Account I hoped to receive confirmation soon.
As far as chrisskaus's patch goes, I've cleaned it out so that it contains just the V5 Files and made some minor tweaks here and there, again I'llcommit that when I receive a CVS Account.
Following that, I've begun work on the V6 Port and I envisage a first commit as soon as CVS Account becomes active.

whispero commentedClosing out this issue

whispero commentedI didn't hear back from CVS before so I've refiled. I've been working on numerous projects and had a heavy RL workload so putting forward CVS I'll begin looking at D6 finalising once CVS active.

fax8 commentedDude, you don't need CVS to contribute code and patches.. just submit here your code!
I'll be happy to commit your patches and code to CVS for you (giving you full credit, of course).
whispero commentedAre you able to continue maintaining then, I'm looking to push forward integrating the patch into Drupal 6 and have a RC out. Its important for a project I'm working on and another close to me. Past that I'd be looking to go forward with D7 development.
I was going on previous, as in - CVS begin committing before maintainer change.

fax8 commentedYes, I'm able to maintain it .. I'm just not actively developing for it but, as far as I know, there aren't bugs open nor patches to be reviewed by me. Once D7 will come out I'll develop a d7 release, something actually not that complex given the simplicity of this module.
If you have code/patches to share just open a new issue and I'll be happy to commit them.
Thanks!

fax8 commentedI'm able to maintain this little module by myself. Whispero, if you want to help just start doing so.. there's now a patch for http://drupal.org/node/358605 by Crell and me.. If you want to help to develop that just test the patch and comment on that page.
