I think I saw a comment some place that TM is limited to Depth3.

In any case, if you select a Term at D=3 and try and add terms (i.e. into D=4) I see nothing. No "+" sign next to the Term, no error message.... just the usual tree list as if nothing had happened. Initially I tried with Mass Term Import. So I tried again. Same result, so I tried with a couple of terms added into the Add New Terms boxes... same result.

So it looks like no terms are being added at D>3

However, when I look via the standard Taxonomy interface I see that my D=4 level terms are there - in fact they are there multiple times due to my repreated attempts with TM.

This looks like a bug to me.

there is no limitation to any depth - so it should work and it does work for me.
You can try it out on my demo site: http://d6.mhutterer.at/?q=admin/content/taxonomy_manager/voc/1
I just created a deep hierarchy and it was perfectly working.
