This may not be the right place to ask...please let me know if I need to post this somewhere else. I'm terribly new at this and I'm sorry if this is an issue that has been covered many times before. I'm sure this is not an issue with the Zen theme but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. I'm trying to create a custom theme using Zen as the base. I'm having a problem with content that does not fill page causing the image I am using as a background to be cut off where the content ends. I'd like for the background image to be at least 100% the screen height whether or not the content is.
I'm using layout-fixed.css and have tried min-height: 100%; for page, html, body, etc. If I use a specific height I can get it to work but then you have to scroll for lower resolutions. That's not horrible but I'd like to have no scroll-bars when there is no reason to scroll. Here's an example of what I'm talking about. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e369/rwfaught/screen.png
There I've created a page that contains only the word 'Music' and since the content does not fill the page the image just stops there. How is this solved? I will include my CSS files if needed.
Forgive me for my noobness but what am I doing wrong?

SeanBannister commentedCan you provide me with a URL where I can see the problem. I've recently been dealing with a few min-height issues in Zen as well.

tnanek commentedWell, I cannot speak for the original author, but am having the same problem it seems.

This site is under heavy development, when the background is a cloud image repeated, then it is set to the proper theme.

SeanBannister commentedNinja : I just had a look at your theme and noticed it looked fine. Could you outline in detail the problem your having and I'll take a look.

tnanek commentedAllright, I just tested it on a Windows PC and it worked better, but still the browser compatibility is not very good.
When you can see the secondary menus (ie click on either of the two primary menu links), Internet Explorer v7.0.5730.13 doesn't show the background for the secondary menus, which makes it difficult to read. See attached image for that one.
For Firefox on Windows it works beautifully so far.
For my Mac, on Firefox (v3.0.4) it shows the background of the clouds as long as there is content there, but once the content ends, if the window extra space beneath the content, that is white with no background.
Using Safari v3.1.2 (default Mac browser) it seems to do the opposite - loads the window and pieces of the background are white, but only when behind the content. I cleared the cache a few times and reloaded the site and got the same thing each time.
Using Camino v1.6.4 (made by Mozilla, but Mac specific, and my browser of choice) I don't see a single cloud.

tnanek commentedSeems like the background-image is a problem connected to Devel-theme developer somehow, which explains why you hadn't seen it - when it is deactivated it works fine in that respect.

akalata commentedClosing this old issue because it appears to be an isolated support request. Ninja Overloard, if this is still an issue, please reopen and update us on your progress.
