I had tried to use it with Panels but couldn't get any success.

I've tried to add that code inserted in readme.txt in a custom PHP panel but it didn't work. Is there any chance to have it working with Panels?

I'm unable to reproduce this problem without more information. Unfortunately this issue was filed against user comment 5.x (no longer supported) and a panels version 2.x that is deprecated for drupal 6.x and 7.x.

If anyone has any specific problem with this module and panels for drupal 6/7 please open an issue and I'll look into it.
