Everytime I post something, the post contains the date and the author information. I found out how to remove the date, but I want to remove the author information (there is only one user, myself, for the page, so the authoring information is redundent and looks messy). I´m using the garland theme. Where in the administration menue can I turn this off?
Thanks!

just was discussing this
this just came in another post, and another discussion i had today...instead of mucking with css, try simply editing out the print author statement in node.tpl for your theme (don't delete, just comment out) and see how it works for you..or do the same for a custom content type if you've got one of those...

Actually, you can toggle
Actually, you can toggle on/off the "submitted by" info for all of your different content types in the theme administration page. It's at /admin/build/themes/settings under "Display post information on" ("Enable or disable the submitted by Username on date text when displaying posts of the following type").
HTH!
oh yeah, duh....

:) I only knew this so
:) I only knew this so quickly because I had the same problem a few weeks ago and spent a lot of time poking around until I finally remembered that theme config page. It's easy to forget about once you've enabled your theme!
Theme configure settings ...
Login, go to Administer > Site Building > Themes, click on "Configure" next to the Garland theme, click on GLOBAL SETTINGS, and then you'll see a "Display Post Information On" area.
Uncheck the content types you would like to disable the post information on (for example if you don't want post information to display for blog posts, then uncheck Blog entry.
