I installed Drupal a week ago, and have been writing on a few stories, saved them as drafts, configured a bit etc, but all of a sudden, and I have no idea WHY; There are no admin options, or even "add content" options when I log myself in?! Weird stuff.
What can be wrong?

check current user and permissions
Is it possible that you created a "normal" user for yourself and are now logging in as that user rather than the administrator UID=1?
If you log in as UID=1 (the first user you created), you can create another user group, assign that group all permissions, add yourself to that group, and go on working as normal.

I really believe I am logging in as admin / superuser ...
Check that the Navigation Block is enabled
Type this in the address bar of your browser (replace "yourdomain" with er.. your domain)
http://yourdomin/?q=admin/block
make sure that the "Navigation" block is enabled. Then you should see the Navigation Menu.

That was it! Thanks man! I
That was it! Thanks man! I disabled it, because I thought it was something else. My bad - but thanks again!
=)
Thanks for the help on this.
Thanks for the help on this. This is really not idiot friendly enought. As a relatively new Drupal user, I did this as well and then was lost. How would a new user know the consequences of this or how to undo it? They wouldn't.
