Tricky question: how to display users who have submitted a certain type of nodes on a map? [#323279]

For example, I have a content type A, and suppose all users have entered a location in their profile, I want to display all the users who have submitted content type A on a gmap. Is this possible to achieve? If so, where should I start? Thanks very much.

Forgot another thing, while displaying the users, it would be nice to automatically center the map to the current user's location. I knew this might need some work, thanks in advance for any hint ...
