I am creating some content, and showing it as a series of book pages seems to be the best answer for placing content. But I would need teasers to be shown under the title link in the list of subpages that starting book page creates.

Maybe someone can suggest me some other way of showing them to... do not need them to be book pages, just need some easy way to maintain a main start page with some introductory content, and a list of some additional content elements, with a linked title and an introduction, that should have the aspect of history or book pages when opened.

Well... as usual I got the answer myself. It is called "views" - I guess... is this forum useful at all?

as usual? i see only one other post in your tracker and 2 different people offered assistance, lol. Seriously though, patience is key-- posts can routinely take more than 24 hours to garner a response.

I used another user long ago, and almost never got useful answers. And I use to move around some other CMS forums (joomla, phpbb, icy phoenix...), and answers use to be much faster than "24 hours".

Strangely it seems that the more complex the problem, the fastest the answer. And anyway many questions in the list... I guess the power users move in different waters.

i guess each experience is unique-- my experience with joomla was exactly the opposite-- i almost never got answers at all-- never mind in less than 24 hours, lol.

And you're probably right about more complex problems tending to get answers quicker-- i generally respond to a dozen or more posts a day and i freely admit that if i stumble across a post easily answered by the user themselves with a little effort i'll skip right over it. I'm sure others probably do the same.

i'm not saying this post is one of those-- had i seen it sooner I would have answered. ;-)

I've been trying to use views for the teasers, but I just can't seem to get it to work. What filter setting did you use? Now I'm ending up with every page that is a subpage regardless of if it's of the current page or some other page. I guess I have to put in a filter, but how?
