This is my second Drupal site, first for advertisements.
I am still half way in fog, and not sure if I am using the best possible modules for what I need.

If you have an advice, or critique, I would really appreciate it.
www.easy-homemade-costumes.com

Modules used as by the date of original forum post:
- Adsense (my "custom search" is not working, still trying to resolve this)
- User registration notification (had to have that)
- Node by privacy Role
- moder8 (I have not figured out how to sue that one yet)
- Captcha

Home made costumes are cool. But I never visit sites like that after first seeing the intrusive ads everywhere.

You could as well say "How do you like my ads site? There are also some home-made costumes.

Kone4no, esli zadumka takaya.

Sure, if this is the idea. But you need to be aware the rivalry is heavyand if your site has too many ads, people may disfavor.
You may also need to redo the crop of the images in the header.

i cant speak on the drupal part, but for content- dont care for sites like this one either. to have a site called easy-homemade-costumes so much adsense stuff is wrong. 3 different spaces for adsense on a site with nothing on it. it all looks very cluttered and yet has little content. this is holloween season, there are places where you can get articles or little or nothing. have you looked into affiliate stuff like fabric, patterns etc. from ebay and amazon. i would imagine you would need to run an enormous amount of traffic thru this site in order to make money because if folks are like me, they will not visit the site again. good luck.

Thank you for the advice. I definitely need to figure out the balance between content and ads. This is a learning process for me and any of your input is appreciated.

Today this site is 6 days old, and is a far cry from what it will be in 6 month. I have been adding stuff to it every day. And I do have a reason behind my madness of having a skeleton site on the web, instead of developing it on the localhost.... LOL!

I have been developing websites for other people for many years, and not new to this, but new to the advertisement sites and Drupal.
From my experience working on non-profit sites, corporate sites, and community sites, the advertisement sites require totally different approach where combination of SEO, relevant ad placement and content is the most important key.
I do not favor the ad sites myself, but I am the web developer, and see website from the different point of view then those who just click through the web.

It's a learning process.
