I am trying to backup my Drupal installation but when I try it takes me to a blank page and does not create a backup. I have tried reinstalling Backup and Migrate but still no luck. Any ideas?

The blank page is a clue
The blank page is a clue that you might be running low on php memory. When you get to the blank screen try hitting ctrl-r for a hard refresh and see if that brings up the screen. Otherwise, check into wither disabling some modules or trying to increase the memory available to you (http://drupal.org/node/29268).
