Node author block in sidebar

Hi,

I have a question about finding the right module. I have articles on my web written by various editors (authors). When displaying an article, I would like to show a block in my sidebar that would show basic info about the author, such as his photo, name, short description. I am trying to find a module that would allow this. Would anyone know which module to try, or how to get this done?
