We are looking for a few enhancements to www.FindNews.org. This site uses the Drigg module and associated modules (Voting API, etc) and it pretty much out-of-the-box - no customizations as of yet.
What we need are the following:
1) 301 handling of deleted Drigg nodes
Each time we moderate the submissions to Drigg, we are deleting a decent amount of posts from users because they are either spamming with the same stories, submitting download links to movies and potentially illegal or copyrighted material, etc.
But deleting a large number of posts each week/month results in a lot of 404 pages :-( This can have negative consequences in Google if lots and lots of pages get removed and a 404 is given in their place.
We need this to occur instead:
We delete "node 123" within category "Entertainment" --> then a 301 redirect gets used for deleted "node 123" and simply does a 301 redirect for the deleted story/node to its parent category - in this case "Entertainment"
Do we need a module for this? Maybe an addition to one of the 301 redirection modules that are currently contributed?
2) Article queue/submissions handling
We want to begin accepting articles and press releases to FindNews.org. We want users to be able to submit their articles and have the article go into a queue and we would moderate this submission before posting to the site. Submitter has to be signed up of course but we cannot locate an existing module that will effectively handle this type of article/node moderation.
Please PM me your hourly rate and experience with recent or similar projects, i.e. 301 redirection and content queue/moderation.
