no fields for state, country, and zip

FWIW, I changed this significantly post-rc2 to act more like it does on nodes. The dev snapshot has these changes, and RC3 will as well once it's out.

I have location on a customs Cck content type and eventhouth I marked city and state as required, just address and zip show up. Is this still a bug? I'm using the 6.x-3....-dev of around Oct 25.

My fields seem to only be showing up in certain cck custom types if I mark them "allow" instead of "require". Is anyone else seeing this?

Also, the "additional" field seems to always be showing.. there is no check boxes to "allow", "require" or "do not collect".

Yes I am seeing this too, if I have a CCK Location field assigned to my node type and set the Collection Field settings for City and Country to Require then the fields are not displayed BUT if I set them to Allow (or in the case of Country 'Use') then the fields are displayed.

I agree with what Jasontanner said. I have the exact situation.

yup seeing this too, especially troublesome in user profiles where it's not a cck but pulls defaults to create maps/users

i'm not seeing a "cck location field" - should this be installed by module by default (and then enabled via modules)?

Zilla, I think you have to use DEV and not rc2. I had the same problem.

i've got dev running but still see it in user profiles as no city/state/zip entry fields...

seems to work just fine for me when enabled for a content type and set up wtihin there (set all fields to 'allow' and not required per another post) - but if the user default thing is setup then it's not showing correctly...odd...

This is fixed in the new dev version.
