I have a bunch of nodes (built with CCK) each having a smal picture thumbnail and some description. I am using GMap + Locaiton to create a view that shows a map of my nodes. When a node marker is clicked on the map, a balloon blurb pops out. It seems I have very limited control on what is going to be displayed there. Ideally I would like my node's thumbnail and description to be shown there but I don't seem to find out how.
The problems:

1) No "Content"-type fields are available when creating a location-view, therefore I cannot add any of my CCK fields to the view

2) Even though the Teaser field is available, when I add it to the view, it shows nothing when the view is run.

Am i doing something wrong or Location just does not support CCK fields in the views at all?

I would also appreciate a helping hand with this sort of thing. Many thanks.

It took some trial and error with the settings, but I am able to add a CCK field in the popup window on a generated node map view. Content fields are selectable. However, I'm using the 6.x-3.0 version, not RC2.

To be clear, this is a Node view using the GMap style with a Row style of Fields. Hope that helps.

Yeah, this works for me now that I'm running the stable version of this module (and all others too) now. It works really rather well, and I'm stoked, actually :-) Thanks to the people involved.

Ahhh, so you can use a Node type View with the GMap module? I assumed you had to use a Location type of view. Trying now. Thanks! =)

greg.harvey, I had the same stumbling block when I first started with location and views. I'll add that to my list of faqs. #434714: documentation/faq/help
