Best way to go about having a block open in a popup window

I'm using drupal 6.6 and am wondering how to make a block open in a popup window.

Specifically the Poll block and a NPR widget player that i've added in a custom block.
What would be ideal is to just display the block as normal but with a simply link that say something like
"'Click here' to display in popup window and continue using site"

I'm curious what the best way to go about doing this is.
