Issue Summary
Making the state of approval of a node a node in itself would enable commenting etc. to happen regarding whether or not the node should be approved. This of course would work a lot better if the feature request to have approvals only apply to certain node types were already implemented, so as to avoid infinite recursion. It might also be a convenient way to give moderation permissions to a group of roles -- you would just have to give them modification permissions to the approval state content type. of course it's sort of a metaphorical sort of content type, and it's probably not at all how the code is currently written.
great module by the way, it's exactly what I'm looking for. we're running a networking site for community organizations and want to have new projects be posted right away, but to have them tagged for a moderator to go through and make sure that they're really supposed to be there.
