Wishlist of Nodes

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions, or has already done something similar to my requirement...
I have a cck content type for items, and I'd like to have the ability for users or guests to maintain a "wishlist" of nodes, so at the end of their session they can submit the wishlist as an email... the email submission isn't a problem for me, but I don't know if there's a Drupal solution to creating a temporary list of nodes (something like a shopping basket without the checkout or the like)
As I'm making a bespoke solution, I really don't want to have to have an all in shopping cart system as its not needed... Nor do I want to depart from my cck content type and views...
Any advice would be gratefully received!
