Buddylist Status Block not showing up in Blocks

Hello,
I just installed the buddylist module. I see on the admin pages that there's supposed to be a buddylist status block. However, when I go to admin/blocks, I see My buddy's recent posts and my buddylist, but no status block. I tried applying the status_block patch, but it broke my system, so I'm assuming the patch isn't needed with the newer implementation. What could I be doing wrong?
