Provide a pref where admin can enter a pattern that will cause the specified line to open up in his text editor. When the pattern is supplied, coder turns the line number info into a link. Here is an examplesfor the editor I use. Some editors offer this, others should.

  • Textmate: txmt://open/?url=$FILE&$LINE
