I see a lot of modules that i need but it refers to ecommerce is that another module like ubercart or does it mean it'll work with any ecommerce packages?

There are two e-commerce

There are two e-commerce packages for Drupal ecommerce and ubercart. I would guess modules specifically for one will not work with the other (they have different API's).
