quantity/unit spacing

i was just wondering about the appearance of the data given by the weather module, because it doesn't look quite right. entities as

12 °C
1011 hPa

seems to have too much space between the numerical and the unit. indeed, common typesetters' recommendations suggest an unbreakable thin space (thin space in HTML:  ), see for example this TUGboat article.

also, there's a slight inconsistency with using unit abbreviations (such as km/h) and non-abbreviated unit names (kilometers) at the same time. (i'd vote for 'km' instead of 'kilometers' here.)
