Sessions, contribution, connection, and Early Bird savings until 8 June.Advanced Forum has been usable for quite some time despite the fact that it isn't feature complete. Until now, I have resisted requests to make a 1.0 release because I don't have the bandwidth to maintain two branches for each core version. I still don't. However, I've decided to compromise. I am going to finish up a few features that can be done fairly quickly, and then start through the beta/RC/release process. Once 1.0 is released, however, that is it for that branch. I won't be touching it short of a major bug needing fixing. So 1.0 will be essentially a frozen moment in the development of this module. As soon as 1.0 is out, I will continue the work on what I had planned to be in 1.0 in the 2.x branch.

3.x ideas:
- Make all forum posts nodes. This one will take either changes to core or forking forum or both. You can read more about that here.
- Unified administration system. There are some modules such as forum access, comment mover, etc that are for administrating a forum but I'd like to see them pulled together into something that's on par with what stand alone forum software offers.
- Integration with panels. I don't plan on making AF dependent on panels but I'd like to offer an optional integration that gives users more control over layout of the entire forum page as well as possibly breaking the posts up into panels and adding panels into the post add/edit process.

Many thanks for the module.
Compared to the native forums module in Drupal , this module has a much better interface and users on my site seem to like it. Well atleast it looks like it right now with my sites traffic gone up a notch since I implemented this module :-)
If you want testing some things, do let me know and I will be happy to test them on a scratch site of mine.

michelleI can always use testers. My own forums aren't very active so I often don't catch things until a release is out in the wild. If I'm going to do a 1.0 release, I want it to be solid so I don't have to touch it again. LOL
