I'm using Rotor as banner rotator and I want to show the name of the banner's site and a little description of the site.

You could do this by simply inserting the relevant HTML within the content area. Just ignore the Image upload field, title, target etc. And instead, enter raw html which draws the layout and inserts the image that you need into the Content fieldset.
