hi,

can anyone help me with putting images as block borders? i have tried using css but havent yet got it right....
i did try using curvy corners and similiar modules to accomplish the curved corner effect i am looking for but they didnt work...

anyway if anyone can point me in the right direction for putting my images into borders for blocks would be a great help

in cases like this it is beneficial to find a theme that does what you want and replicate what that theme is doing in your own.

The firefox browser with the firebug addon will help a great deal.

Ultimately your question is a bit difficult to answer without being able to see your site so that we can use the tools available. Therefore I mention the tools available.

ive got firebug and web developer for firefox

i want to add border images to most blocks on the site, or just have the corners curved and styled, rather than the square borders that automatically go on.

let me know if this helps and if you have an idea for what i can do

if it helps i kind of want the similar look to the blocks of drupal.org, ive used firebug to look at the elements, but isnt helping....thanks again

It seems to me that part of the problem is the theme you are using, or building has stripped style.css of almost all of the css drupal would use.

ie: no .block

My suggestion is to download a contrib theme that does what you want and replicate what that theme is doing. Or find a conrtib theme who's layout is similar to what you are building and manipulate the css to get what you are after.

the theme i've modified started as a bluemarine theme...

im in the process of adding .block elements to the file....

I don't know, I've never used it. I'd imagine using css is uses fewer resources than a module or javascript type idea.

and it has curvy round corners and nice use of images in blocks - and it is free to hack to death if you feel so inclined....it's for d6, free, go to drupal themes section
