When I open up /sitemap.xml the pages displayed there no longer exist. Is the sitemap module caching these and if so how I do I delete this cache?

My other question for anybody who would know is that when I open the path /sitemap.xml, I get a page error, but when I refresh it comes through perfectly. This always happens on any computer I test it on. Any ideas?
