how do i change the language of a post?

When I use URL aliases I get into problems if they are associated with a language, but some of our posts have been marked in one language or another. We have both English & Spanish installed, but site will only be in spanish. How can I change the language that a post is supposedly in after it has been published?

Because I'm using autoURL module things get even worse if the post language isn't marked as spanish!
