I've been having a lot of trouble installing fivestar extra. I finally got fivestar working, using the last production version, then replaced it with the development version needed by fivestar extra. (I did this because somehow installing the development fivestar made my site's build/modules page vanish... -.- )
Anyway, got it installed, enabled, tried rating a forum comment, and the stars briefly turned color, then ... it said underneath "Your rating was deleted."
Now I'm wondering whether I didn't need Fivestar itself enabled for the forum topic first before I could rate any comments on the forum topic... Maybe?

Richard Blackborder commentedNo, you don't need Fivestar rating turned on for the parent node for rating of comments.
I've not tested Fivestar Extra with the forum module. It might be something forum does. Does Fivestar Extra work for you for comments on normal nodes like Pages and Stories?
jinjyaa commentedUm, Fivestar worked for comments on normal pages like blog and book. I didn't know that Fivestar Extra did anything to the Fivestar behavior on other nodes. How could I tell?
Richard Blackborder commentedFivestar Extra provides rating of comments. Without it, you cannot rate comments at all: Fivestar does not provide it. Try disabling Fivestar Extra. The rating of comments widgets should disappear. Then enable it again. The widgets should reappear.
jinjyaa commentedOK, reinstalled everything... No. If I vote on a comment to a book page, it responds "Your vote has been deleted". And on "top rated content" (a view), it says "warning: Missing argument 4 for fivestar_vote() in /var/www/html/drupal/sites/all/modules/fivestar/fivestar.module on line 682." Which I assume means the devel version of fivestar is misconfigured somehow? (The site should not be /var/www/html/drupal.) Well, also argument 3 (a multi-axis tag) may be new.
So... devel fivestar and fivestarExtra no longer compatible, maybe?
Richard Blackborder commentedI'm not sure about this. At the time of this comment, devel Fivestar is from 21 October. Fivestar Extra was only released on 26 October. So they should work together fine, or at least as well as they did for me.

mlyczba commentedI have added this line in the module and it fixed the problem. The votes on comments are now saved.

BobbyG123 commentedBrilliant that worked for me. Thank you
Comment #8
Richard Blackborder commentedSounds good. I've incorporated your change into the module and made a new release. Thank you.
