I have upgraded from 5.2 to 6.6 and have loaded half a dozen contributed modules and a contributed theme to publichtml/sites/all/modules and same for themes. The update.php script has succcessfully run so I can see the 6.6 version of the site. But for reasons I can't work out I can only see the core modules at admin/build/modules and neither the contributed modules or themes seemed to have loaded . Any thoughts what is stopping Drupal installing the contributed modules

I fixed the problem. I had created sites/all/Modules. I changed this to sites/all/modules and it all works fine
