Just an idea... it would be useful to be able to control access (view) to Fusion Charts by user roles (now thinking for example about intranets with sensible data)

I suggest you look at access control modules to handle this. There are lots of them this module should not reinvent the wheel.

Yes, indeed, I didn't realize this was so easy... Content Access module seems to be what I was after.
