The main purpose of my site is to implement with Gallery2 and host photos for family. I absolutely love this theme, but when viewing photos via an implemented G2 installation, they look awful because the right sidebar cuts right through the images, presumably because of the fixed width. I'm far from an expert, but is there any easy way to achieve a fluid width with this theme?

I suggest you look into Views2 to make your gallery. See http://drupal.org/node/144725 for how it's done. The advantage is that you can easily define the size of your gallery thumbnails and number of columns to suit your theme.

Thanks for the suggestion, but Gallery2 also offers this functionality...To me, maintaining the larger image sizes is more important, so changing themes is apparently my only option.

This issue is being closed because it is against a branch for a version of Drupal that is no longer supported.
If you feel that this issue is still valid, feel free to re-open and update it (and any possible patch) to work with the 7.x-4.x branch.
