Hi,
I'm looking for a cms that can also help me in displaying process flows (BPMN - Business Process Modeling Notation) and also link parts of those activities to documents. Is this something that's achievable in Drupal?

I do this extensively with drupal and it works very well. I create the flow with visio, export it as a web page, then copy and paste the resulting image map along with the graphic into a drupal page. I can then add hyperlinks from each shape in the flow to a separate page with the details. This method works for all sorts of flows-- not just BPMN. I use it extensively for ITIL processes as well.

Also, I ended up creating a module for a jquery plugin in order to have the flow shapes highlight properly when hovered (so users would know they were hyperlinks). See http://drupal.org/project/jq_maphilight.

Thanks for your great input. I've just installed drupal and got your module working with some of my workflows from visio. This is exactly what I was looking for. I just cannot believe it is that easy to get this thing working.

Just an update to thread for future reference--

I've gotten the imgmap plugin for FCKeditor working to create image maps right in the fckeditor and it's EXCELLENT. The user interface has a couple of usability quirks that take a little getting used to, but this makes image maps easily handled right on the graphic while editing. Very slick.
